"For their first public performance, the French language theatre company 'Rue du Hazard' will stage Art, a three-person play by Yasmina Reza, in Kirkland. The play Art is the most frequently performed play in the French language.
A long-term friendship among three friends, Marc, played by Jean Bernard Dahmoune, Serge played by Julien Bouétard and Yvan played by Erik Sackstein, comes under stress when Serge, a dermatologist, buys an expensive minimalist painting by a famous painter. The various reactions to the purchase reveal deep underlying problems in their relationships.
Their discussions about the pretentiousness of the art world, the limits and boundaries of friendship make for a hilariously dramatic evening while revealing some profound truths about friendship." (Promo Copy)
