"At Flatiron School, we believe in choosing careers we love. Sometimes that means reinventing and redefining our career paths to align with our passions and values. Please join us in a night of career exploration conversations with Ashley McNamara, Director of Open Source Initiatives at Microsoft. Ashley leads Microsoft’s Developer Advocacy and specializes in Linux, Containers, Go, and OpenSource Technologies. She acts as a bridge between outside developers and Microsoft, driving platform adoption through developer communities and driving change into products based on real-world customer/developer feedback.

Ashley was a 2014 Hackbright engineering fellow and in her spare time, she's a startup mentor, an advocate for helping underrepresented individuals join and feel comfortable in tech, and is often a resource for new developers trying to find their way." Ashley will discuss the need for career transitions, as well as answer any questions you may have." (Promo Copy)
