Pacific Northwest Chocolate Society - Tasting Chocolate Across the Ages
"Join us for an evening of learning about the history of cacao and chocolate followed by a chocolate tasting across the ages.
Chocolopolis Chief Chocophile and PNW Chocolate Society co-Founder, Lauren Adler, will give a presentation called, "Back to the Future: Chocolate Gets Back to Its Roots." A topic near and dear to her heart, Lauren will provide an overview not only of the history of cacao and chocolate, but innovations in its making and sourcing that have come back into style. She'll cover the economics of craft chocolate and the challenges the craft industry faces.
The presentation will be followed by a tasting of chocolate that represents the different styles and innovations in chocolate. Our tasting will include unrefined chocolate, chocolate made with Dutch-process cocoa powder, Swiss milk chocolate and multiple bars of single-origin craft chocolate." (Promo Copy)
