"The Mercer Island Arts Council’s summer concert series brings an eclectic mix of musical talents to Mercerdale Park each year. Round up your friends and family, pack a picnic, and meet us in the park for FREE performances every Thursday, July 11-August 15. This year we’re partnering with local organizations to bring you even more fun for all ages. Arrive early for arts activities, opening acts, and more before the headliners take the stage at 7 pm.

Mōtus is a crew of jazztronauts sent from the stars with a mission to spread the funk. This 7-piece is known for their exciting live performances, infused with grooves that get your head noddin’ and body rockin’. Three vocalists, bass, drums, keys, guitar, and two horns make Mōtus’ sound.

The band performs styles ranging from thought-provoking ballads to backbeat funk and fusion, and their music pulls from contemporary jazz, R&B, neo-soul, and hip-hop groups, including Hiatus Kaiyote, The Internet, Erykah Badu, and Roy Hargrove.

Don’t miss the soulful, sophisticated, and vibrant melodies of Mōtus at Mostly Music in the Park this week." (Promo Copy)
