At the height of the Cold War, Jeff is a 15-year-old American boy preoccupied with normal '80s teen things. But when he's diagnosed with brain cancer and is granted a wish by the Starlight Children's Center, he asks to travel to Moscow with the hopes of convincing Mikhail Gorbachev to make peace. That's all in Jeff Henigson's novel Warhead: The True Story of One Teen Who Almost Saved the World.
