Wildlife Bridges & Brews
"Have you ever been in a collision with wildlife, or seen the heart-breaking sight of an animal on the side of the road after being hit? These unfortunate occurrences happen far too often—so we’re finding solutions that will protect both wildlife and people.
Join Conservation Northwest and the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) for a happy hour all about wildlife crossings and habitat connectivity! Co-hosted under Conservation Northwest’s 30th Anniversary and the NWF’s Seattle Wildlife in the City Week, this event will be a mix of casual socializing and presentations from local staff at both organizations. Come meet our team and learn about how we’re making travel safer for commuters and wildlife in Washington state and beyond!
It’s also Seattle Beer Week, so please join us for some tasty brews and conversations about the incredible array of wildlife—both in the city and the wild!
About the Organizations:
Conservation Northwest is a Seattle-based nonprofit with a mission to protect, connect and restore wildlands and wildlife from the Washington Coast to the British Columbia Rockies. With a collaborative approach to conservation, CNW works with local communities, builds science-based solutions, and leads innovative partnerships to find common ground and win-win solutions for issues including wilderness conservation, endangered species recovery, and sustainable natural resource use. They are the Washington State Affiliate Organization of the National Wildlife Federation.
The National Wildlife Federation, America’s oldest and largest conservation organization, works across the country to unite Americans from all walks of life in giving wildlife a voice. For three years, the local National Wildlife Federation’s Wildlife in the City Week has been a multi-day, multi-venue event to help the community explore and learn about how we can all have a positive impact on wildlife living among us and become a champion of urban wildlife."
