"Jack Straw resident artists Stuart Wheeler and Jesse Q-Tare producing an album of music that radically reimagines the work of medieval composer Guillaume de Machaut. They will perform some selections from this project and talk about their approach to interpreting this work.
Providing some historical perspective, vocal ensemble Les Chanterelles, directed by Emi Ostrom, will sing a selection of medieval music from a similar time and place as Machaut; and lutenist August Denhard will perform a work by Machaut and related works on solo lute." (Promo Copy)
