"Paul Park has published twelve novels and three books of short stories, all in a variety of genres. He teaches writing and literature at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, where he grew up. His work has been nominated for dozens of awards, none of which he has actually won. His new collection, A City Made of Words, from PM Press in Oakland, explores how faith in the miraculous transfigures ordinary life: an old man's memory of a magic tarot deck, a philosophy program overrun by vampires, a high-school student whose half-baked essays can control the future."
