The SyFy network anointed her one of the top comic creators of 2017, and NBC named her a #Pride30 Innovator in the same year. She's come out with a coming-of-age young adult novel about a "self-proclaimed closeted Puerto Rican baby dyke from the Bronx" who snags an internship with her favorite feminist writer. She's hoping for a mentor, but it turns out a white Portlander doesn't have all the answers for a young brown woman.
