It didn’t take long for Delvon Lamarr to take his killer Organ Trio worldwide. Really not a surprise, because while Lamarr tickles the traditional Hammond B-3 jazz grooves, he can drive it into some kind of soulfulness in a blink. It’s something I’m not sure if contemporary Seattle deserves, but that’s another story. Anyway, it’s gonna be a guaranteed solid night of gettin’ y’all’s swingables swung, what with Rippin’ Chicken, uh, rippin’ into organ riffs versus guitar pyrotechnics (they’re proggy like a motherfucker), and jazzy, swingin’ horn rock from Unsinkable Heavies, a group that tends to get “out there.”
