"'The right of the people peaceably to assemble' is guaranteed in the First Amendment of the US constitution. Thanks to that right, every day thousands of community meetings are able to take place throughout the country where we, the people, shape decisions for the future. Community organizer Milenko Matanovič joins us at Town Hall to help us make the most of our opportunities to gather. He draws on insight from his book The Case For Everyday Democracy: Turning Community Meetings Into Engines For Collaboration to provide us with insightful, wise, provocative, and practical guidance for turning our meetings into productive, meaningful, and even joyful events that strengthen our everyday democracy. Sit in for a blueprint on how to transform our gatherings with trust, civic engagement, and meaningful action.

Milenko Matanovič is an artist and award-winning community builder and founder of the nonprofit Pomegranate Center. He has collaborated with communities to build more than 60 gathering places and spoken at dozens of universities, community gatherings, and conferences." (Promo Copy)
