An unpopular opinion about dogs.

A husky escaped its owner, bolted toward me, leapt, and took a bite out of my jacket. hawk krall

Trump hates dogs. ‘Nuff said.

Trump hates dogs. ‘Nuff said. I DO NOT mean to compare the writer to our POS in chief, by the way. Just following up on the not voting Republican thing.

So true -- Man's Best Friend is too smart, too empathetic (and can smell far-alt-right bs from a thousand yards, at least) to ever vote Republican.

(How do you think Hillary won?)

The dog can sense your fear and your inability to control it, and rightfully realizes it is above you in the dominance hierarchy.

This is why they treat you the way they do. They don't "hate" you, they just see you as weak.

@5, that's called blaming the victim. The real problem is owners failing to control their pets in public. And I say this as a serial dog owner (one of them a pit bull who never bit anyone because she was never off-leash in public). I love dogs, but I know that some people don't and it's my job to make sure my dog doesn't harass or accost them.

@6: I never claimed the writer was at fault, merely offered a reason why dogs seem to like attacking him. Nor did I ever claim that the owners are not responsible.

Oh, is it already that time again, where the Stranger publishes another installment of its regular anti-dog diatribes?

I already know from previous issues that when in trouble, retreat to an elevated position that the animal can't climb, but if forced to engage, shove my fist down its throat. Or maybe that's exclusively for pit bulls.

That was great. Love dogs and I've been charged plenty as well.

Charging at runners, bicyclists, skateboard wheels... ESPECIALLY skateboard wheels—dog pros, are there limits to training? Are there instincts or compulsions that can't be overcome in some dogs?

Please wait...
