Yeah. Right. People made fun of Hitlers’ mustache and that’s why he murdered over six million human beings and kicked off a global conflagration that consumed the lives of almost 50 million souls.

Dave: given that you're The Stranger's music writer, perhaps you should study up on the founding principals and players of the Punk scene before making lazy analogies. Iggy Pop, Patti Smith, Buzzcocks, Vivienne Westwood, et al were philosophically opposed to the oppression of LGBT and, in fact, they were strongly influenced by queer politics. It wasn't until the movement was embraced by the mainstream that it became a vessel for hatred and angst.
