But nowhere in the unincorporated east side of King County will you find a cannabis retailer. Isn't that a bit ironic? Unincorporated King County is the second largest municipality by population in the county at 250,000 residents.
Yet Chairman Dow seems to have focused on shoe-horning all of the WSLCB allocation for retailers into White Center (6), Skyway (5) and to a lesser extent Vashon Island (3). These communities combined don't hold 20% of unincorporated residents and they are far from any larger unincorporated population center.
Let's put it this way. If the Capitol Hill neighborhood had the same level of concentration of these stores as Dow has regulated into these three unincorporated communities, there would be 15 or more located there.

Should be interesting to see what they can come up with once enough research has been done to know which components produce which effects, flavors, etc. Pretty soon Mary Jane won't have any mysteries left.
