I have trouble reading this beautiful article without letting myself get sidetracked by the whole NHS v. private medical care issue.
I wish we had the equivalent of the National Health Service here in the U.S. As a patient in the U.S., there's no one really looking out for you. Looking out for the contents of your wallet, definitely, but you, not so much.
I like the idea of centralized health care run to a universal standard and not having to worry about the bills. Here, you're on your own, much like the author's encounter with that private clinic in London, and any serious health crisis that doesn't kill you is likely to bankrupt you.
Really? That's what you wanted to say?
Would you have written the following?
"The man in the next bed, Michael, is roughly the same age and RACE as me."
Bury a couple of people you've loved and I imagine your tune will change.
Nope.
Nope.
And nope.

In news related to reality, I saw Timmeh this weekend.
Still starves himself, full makeup, hair did. Completely undercover.
May you live a long, long, long time, Timmeh.
Because everyone in this city who rides the bus knows what happens to Timmehs as they grow old.
Maybe if you guys didn't pass fiction as news and didn't personally insult politicians some sort of laws would apply.
Good bye.
The $160 billion cancer industry's real legacy has been to prevent people from having access to cancer cures:
No one has to die of cancer anymore. Successful cancer cures have been around for a long time:
