@1 - They aren't. The monogamous couple are the ones in the second to last panel. Everybody else is in bed with all those naked guys...

Straight or gay, progressive or regressive, many humans enjoy finding opportunities to make the point that they're better than you...more dangerous when the 'evidence' is backed-up by the dominant culture, but still obnoxious even when a sub-culture's own customs and values are used.
