Hardly. Your description of nerds could be generally everyone. This movie sucks not because it portrays the nerdy side of them, but because they're just generally dicks. And yeah, it's kind of shitty for focusing on one aspect of them and treating it like it's the cause of all their douchebaggery. But just because a film is wrong to equate nerds with jackasses doesn't mean that we should turn away completely, to say that nerds are sweet, kind, and gentle. I was a nerd once. It kind of ruined my life.

Point is, being a nerd has nothing to do with your personality. It's (an arguably rather pathetic, considering it implies that you have no outside life) a neutral trait, and for that, I'm disappointed that you treated it otherwise. Nerds deserve the same as any old guy unless they nerdify things, in which case, it all depends on what exactly they're spewing.
