Listen up, you uncultured types, the "way-overly-intense" music in I Am love is by the American minimalist composer John Adams. And one of the three reasons you should be impressed by that sex scene in the country is the music. It's no accident that the director selected the most numinous piece in Adams' Shaker Loops series, "Shaker Loops, for 7 strings or string orchestra: Loops and Verses," to score the most numinous scene in the movie.
