He did a fantastic job in "The Aviator," even though I didn't enjoy a lot of the movie. I understand not liking an actor, but saying someone like DiCaprio is not a good actor is like saying that Sonny Rollins isn't a good sax player or Picasso wasn't a good painter, simply because you don't like their styles.
You don't like DiCaprio's style of acting, and that's inarguable and perfectly reasonable. Saying he's not a good actor, especially when some of the finest actors and film makers in the world think he's a fine actor, is just silly.
Martin Scorsese is for Leonardo DiCaprio what Billy Wilder was for Marilyn Monroe: the only director who can get a decent performance out of a useless bint.
Saying you only loved Leo back in the 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape' days is like the most hipster statement imaginable. The man has successfully overcome the whole Titanic debacle to become one of the most respected actors in Hollywood currently. But noooo, you can't give Leo any love when everyone else does.
What's with the Leonardo bashing? Gosh I've been through this crap since Titanic..knock it off! If you think Leo is so bad, don't watch his film. Its that simple! I happen to think he is very talented, so many directors love working with him, and many critics love his work. There is always a bad apple amongst the group, trying to spoil it for everyone.
After Romeo and Juliet, it was all downhill.
You don't like DiCaprio's style of acting, and that's inarguable and perfectly reasonable. Saying he's not a good actor, especially when some of the finest actors and film makers in the world think he's a fine actor, is just silly.
And I'll never forgive him for the Titanic.
Yeah! If you don't bow down at the altar of the most popular thing out there you're a no good hipster!
