This is the first "short film Friday" I've watched. The storytelling was poor (am I supposed to already know all about this guy?), but I loved the visual style.

My favorite segment was when they zoomed in and out on his thoughts when he sees the prostitute.

A really wonderful short film! I wish they had given us the guy's name.

His enlistment paper in the video says "B. Corbett". Googling found Boston Corbett.

Fascinating short film - the visuals are amazing. Norammly I don't like this kind of hand-drwan animation, but it is completely suited to this story. I can't help wonder how many books were destroyed in the making, though - I hope they were all usless textbooks or old Republican best-sellers.

The film made me really curious about 'Boston' Corbett, so I looked him up on Wikipedia - he had a pretty amazing life, even if he was probably schizophrenic.

Agree with Free Lunch. Visuals were great, wouldn't have minded if it took its time and was a longer piece.

@1 There was just enough storytelling to make me interested enough to go read about this guy, I'm glad I did. That seems successful to me.
