..call me whatever kind of geek you want, but i think that any tarkovsky film screening at the cinerama is cause for loud celebration.

( soderberg's remake is passable..unecessary, but passable )

No Blade Runner WTF?
3
No Blade Runner AND no Alien? Ridley Scott and we have been screwed over I say.
4
Seriously, though...THX1138 is amazing.
5
Alien and Blade Runner missing is a travesty.
6
Fuckity fuck fuck. Another awesome thing ruined by children.

If i had to pick one I'd go with 2001.

Does Cinerama do this every year?

Ditto on Agent Smith's monologue about hom sapiens.

Oddly enough, the Movie Times section elsewhere on this site believes Metropolis (the anime) is playing in place of the Fritz Lang edition.
The Cinerama site itself is a little ambiguous regarding which version of certain films are playing. Solaris, for example.

No Star Wars??? Are you fucking kidding me??? I know some snobs are going to argue that it's not sci-fi and it's fashionable to rip into Lucas. But you can't deny its impact on society and popular culture. Over half of the movies made after 1977 owe their existence in whole or in part to Star Wars. No Star Wars, no deal!

They couldn't get Star Wars. Nor Alien or Blade Runner. It wasn't for lack of trying.

They couldn't get Star Wars. Nor Blade Runner or Alien, but not for lack of trying. Chill out nerds, we still have plenty of cool flicks to see!

Disappointed with the 70mm print of Star Trek 2. It was faded orange and the sound was atrocious. "Khhhnnnnbbb!"

Please wait...
