Holy shit - ever since I bought (at your suggestion?) the compilation "Queer Noises 1961 - 1978" I've had Jobriath's "I'm a Man" popping up every so often in the shuffle. Thanks for this blurb - I can't wait to see it.

This looks so good, like a real life "Velvet Goldmine." That poster looks like Todd Haynes ripped it off for the Brian Slade cover in VG.

I read up on him after hearing the Okkervil River song "Bruce Wayne Campbell Interviewed on the Roof of the Chelsea Hotel, 1979" . Tragic story, should be a good documentary.

Okkervil guy is one of the talking heads in the film!
