Yeah, I was fairly disappointed in the movie. I loved the book.

The most annoying fucking thing was that the whole monologue that begins the movie (and the book) actually ties DIRECTLY to the story. It asks a question that you should answer for yourself because the question hits the story in a big damn way...a way they left out of the movie completely.

I'm all for cutting the shit that doesn't matter, but it was kind of the whole question of the book.

Okay, I loved the book AND the film. Saw it at SIFF last year (with Coscarelli in attendance) and everyone in the audience seemed to be with it from beginning to end. Disappointed to see 2 naysayers for a movie that deserves a wider audience than a one week run will provide. Looking forward to seeing it a second time (& bringing my son, who gave me the book).
