Epic De Niro is SIFF's seven-day festival of films starring Robert De Niro, and a high density of these films are killers.

Things kick off tonight with the greatest mob movie ever made, then continue through next Thursday with Brian De Palma's ridiculous and terrific Gangster Movie for Dummies(TM), a garish Scorsese remake, a terrifying Scorsese original, the third greatest mob movie ever made, the longest mob movie ever made (and dear God it's good), a way-better-than-I-knew-until-I-finally-watched-it-a-couple-years-ago Michael Mann thriller, some underrated Tarantino, and more.
