Comedy Central is pretty amazing, but it will be interesting if they can move the needle on this particular expression of the "patriarchy" or misogyny. Most of all, I wonder if women will be persuaded this doesn't leave their men less manly.

Broad City is rude like Amy Schumer, but not so self-deprecating. I don't see much of a connection to Girls. Amy Schumer and Broad City are funnier than almost anything on TV other than maybe John Oliver and Bill Maher on occasion.

@2 "pegging" is typical reserved for hetero/bi woman on hetero/bi man (I believe Dan originally left those stipulations in to hammer home the point that pegging in no way "makes" a guy gay). For two women, I believe it's just "sex" or "strap-on sex."

@8 The Feeldoe has been mentioned, and I've read/heard that it can be a bit awkward (though they do make harnesses now that make it a bit more stable). I've also heard/read that *some* harnesses for *some* woman will rub against them in a pleasurable fashion depending on body+harness synergy. YMMV.

Yes, depending on the harness, how it's worn, the wearer's anatomy, the position/motion used etc. The configuration mostly depends on whether the wearer *wants* it to be stimulating or not, eg. whether or not it's something they *want* to get off on, as opposed to something they're doing to be GGG or whatever. I definitely wear mine to be as stimulating as possible. ;)

@the feeldoe: hot damn is that thing awkward/impossible to use. I've used other similar toys with more success, but the feeldoe itself is not the most compatible design.

@13 They're fun for double penetration, but judging from the number of them on the market, it isn't a hugely popular thing. (It is pretty fucking awesome, in my opinion, but hey, I'm not the free market, I'm just one perv.)

Apart from double penetration, I suppose men could use them for fucking if they had trouble getting an erection, or had already 'used up' their erection but not their enthusiasm? It's kind of a production, so I can't imagine the latter would happen a lot.

I'd be much more interested in Mr Savage's take on the significant bit afterwards, as mentioned in the article. If A breaks or ruins B's custom item and the ensuing kerfuffle ruins the connection, it would take a lot of work for the takeaway to be that B is the jerk.

@2 - In my opinion, yes. I would vote that any artificial, strap-on "peg" to be inserted into any sort of hole would count as pegging no matter who's strapping it on or providing the hole.

@20: That would probably be a minority opinion, since the term was specifically coined to refer to girl-on-boy strap-on anal sex. I think if lesbians needed a new term for strap-on sex we would have heard about it by now, since they're the ones who started using strap-ons in the first place, ages ago.

@23 - I wasn't being snarky - I hope this kind of show/exposure brings more women around to the view you express. Men have to live in our culture and notions of masculinity are firmly policed by women, just as femininity is is policed by men (fashion, media, body types). I'm probably just stating the obvious.

All of the policing of masculinity I see is by men. Most of the women I know would like to see the definition broaden. When that sentiment is voiced the men I come in contact with become very defensive of their narrow notions of what a man is.

Ms Penny - I'll guess that they interpret "broadened" as an attempt to swap. They feel locked into A and aren't entirely happy about it but have made the best peace they could; an attempt from the outside to allow a choice between A and B may appear as a subtle move in a long game to impose B in stages by degrees.

@ 8, this is a late response but the harness I use has a little "give" which simply rubs me the right way, and if I'm aroused when fucking my husband (which is a given really, and I've never used the term pegging) I will have a great big fabulous orgasm. About guys using a strap-on, I've been doing it a lot lately, and it's totally possible. Just not with the harness she was using in this episode.

There's another kind of harness that has a split middle that wraps around your butt to hold it onto the wearer, and they're perfect for guys to use because it holds the dildo onto your pubic bone, just above your dick. Generally speaking, it would also fit a woman in the same place, maybe a little lower, and while it's a good spot for having some bone to support the dildo, it's not likely to get her off.
