I attended two classes David taught while he was a grad student at the UW. I really enjoyed them. He was incisive, funny, and my favorite philosophy teacher. His band at the time, Mah Jong, was pretty cool, too. I think I'll go to the Annex today.

Dang. Wish I had seen this in time. So much not normal from the time period he's talking about that I wonder how solid our vision of normal is. I can't help but think that 20 years from now our normal may look like we were absolutely insane.
