Pixar is really great at making narratives work on multiple levels, and they've proven that with the right subject matter, they can make sequels arguably better than the original. I might just have to go to see this one on the big screen.

I watched this movie and could not help but cry at certain points. Like your article says, I really identified with Dory in the movie. Especially when Dory was young and made mistakes but her parents would comfort her and accept her for who she was, and be so generous and understanding. To me that was the best part and what made me cry. To have someone so understanding and forgive you when you were having trouble. The movie wasn't really sad but the way it presented the subject matter was excellent.
