Proud to say I never read any of the (probably)damn silly books, or saw any of the undoubtedly stupid movies.

I have an interest in actual art history, why the hell would I give a crap about ginned up art history nonsense?

Read the first couple paragraphs of this piece and was glad the discarded pulp novels were put to some (even satirical) use.

But was hoping for more David S. Pumpkins.

I made the mistake of reading one of his earlier non-Langden novels, "Deception Point". Found it middling-to-preposterous, and never went back to the Brown well for a second dip; literary or cinematic.
