Does it matter if the allegations are real or not? As far as I can tell, once the accusation has been made the ultimate resolution (say, a court date, a guilty verdict, a piece of damning evidence) doesn't seem to actually matter to anyone.

He looks kinda rapey.

Yeah, he does look kinda rapey, but to really be able to have an informed opinion on this I need to see a picture of her to see if she looks cray-cray.

@1, it is amazing how many of these recent accusations never seem to have as much as a police report being made by the victim. So for people I don't like: I'm accusing you of raping me. And even if it's a lie I'd face zero consequences

Hes gay! And if he isnt gay- he should be.

@4 - I've known women who attempted to report assaults by acquaintances to the police. The police in no way reassure you that you'll be believed or received with any seriousness. In fact, I've gone on 2 different ER visits to initiate the rape kit evidence collection process with friends who were assaulted and they were both told (by different hospitals, different cops, different nurses, different states/cities) that the chances that anything would come of it were excessively low because the DA would never move forward in attempting to charge the person in question. The reason: because they weren't explicitly violent assaults by strangers with knives in dark alleys.

The shit is fucked up.

I wish she'd out the asshole producer she was dating at the time. He's complicit.
