First of all any discussion of Shelton's films must be prefaced with one fact: Lynn is a delight and a treasure. Both personally and professionally. And I will fucking cut a bitch that drags her.
Second: As a mostly Native North Westerner ALL of Shelton's films have felt authentically Northwest to me. Even the ones I don't like. They have none of the prefabricated techno skien of modern Seattle. Instead they all portray a city with a genuine face with a few well earned miles on it. She has a knack for settings and characters that make you feel like behind every door or window is another movie happening. And I love that.
