And his drug use incapacitated him.
Not really a sympathetic or even interesting figure after about 1964.

I read Keith Richards' "Life" about 8-9 years ago. It's an excellent autobiography. In it, I vaguely recall Keith mentioning that Brian really was an egotist and a jerk. There was no love loss when they, the Stones and Brian parted.

Knew about Brian's drug abuse as well but didn't know about the 6 children. Wow.
