I was very skeptical about Stone's thesis - that Chavez is the reason for 'the turn to the left'- but I agree wholeheartedly that there should be more movies about South America. Or, that there should be more South American films in North America.

South America needs to stop 'hero-worshiping' strong men and develop an un-corrupt/efficient government and civil society. Chavez is a would-be dictator who blames the all of his failings on the USA. We certainly aren't perfect, but at least our citizen's allegiance is to the Constitution and not a cigar chomping generalissimo... Long live all Republics...death to despots!
