I just read a post (link from Realclearpolitics.com, so I don't remember the original source) about Bush bashing Obama to friends (he has refused to do so publicly) and bashing McCain for choosing Palin. He's still around! Bashing him was fun... I wonder how faithful the "Game" movie is to the book; seems to me the kind of thing that shouldn't take license with the facts. But movies frequently do. Think of the Oliver Stone "JFK" movie. Yikes! That was pretty far afield of facts! I'm now reading the just released book on the JFK assassination - "The Kennedy Detail," by former Secret Service agent Gerald Blaine, and that has really reinforced the fictional retelling Stone indulged in. Jerry Blaine realized, apparently, after the movie that unless the former agents revealed what really happened, history would be falsely re-written by Hollywood and conspiracy theorists. (Let's face it -- there are tons of conspiracy theorists out there, though!) Fascinating so far.
