The defense approached the prosecution with the possibility of an Alford plea because they were not confident they would win new trials or gain acquittal in a new trial. So your anger is really off base.

Not true. When are you people going to let it go. You've already stolen 18 years of 3 people's lives and you continue with your revisionist history. The defense was CONFIDENT of acquittal in a new trial that they were CONFIDENT to get. The prosecution offered the Alford plea because they said they were not positive they would get a guilty verdict
" because of the passage of time". They also didn't want to get sued which the Alford Plea guarantees that they won't. You're just trying to get people that don't know the case on to your side. People that want the truth will not listen to your lies.

1st off, I can't STAND when ignorant people are granted access to a keyboard & a monitor, the idiotic comments come a-flying! THE PROSECUTION PUSHED FOR AN ALFORD PLEA DUE TO THE FACT THEY KNEW THEY'D MOST LIKELY LOSE THE CASE. The defendant's only accepted it because Damien most likely wouldn't have seen the light of day to walk free. The state would've made sure he was executed before that happened. It was a chicken-shit tactic AK state used. This also allows Damien & Jason etc the freedom to investigate the case since the cops won't lift a finger. Anyone who feels justice was served almost 30yrs ago that day in court should have their head shoved into a vise. It makes me sick!

Talk about ignorant - you supporters conveniently ignore all facts, even when they are in writing. Their own plea agreement even states that the defense requested the Alford (https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B8h_tqh…).

"On this the 19th day of August 2011, came the defendants and their counsel requesting this Court for the opportunity to enter a negotiated plea in these matters..."

So what 4? The prosecution has already shown that they're willing to pull dirty tricks to keep them in jail They were never given a fair trial before why should they expect anything to be different now? I don't blame them for wanting to get out and not having their friend executed.

Please wait...
