It’s a mustache thing you wouldn’t understand.

Wait, he played Knox Harrington, the video artist? There's your mountain right there.

"The movie opens with Johnny raping a woman in what looks like the starkest alley in Manchester"

Yes, certainly an appealing flick for all. I bet a guy wrote this! Oh, MUDEDE wrote this. Some of us have a slight objection to rape in our entertainment. Not him, apparently.
3
It sounds like MUDEDE has a personal thing against D. Thewlis. How anyone who would have a serious competence in the art of film making could juge that 131 minutes of superior acting performance is a freak occurrence?
4
"Whose wit frequently draws from his A-level education (the British equivalent of an AA degree)."

Nope. They're the English equivalent of AP courses. Nothing particularly noteworthy about having some A levels under your belt.
5
Film criticism that simply exists to put down or denigrate a performer is the lowest form of criticism, if it can even be called that. This is basically a wankier version of TMZ you've made here.
6
@2, I agree, rape scenes do not make great entertainment, thanks.

Greetings Charles. I'm not terribly familiar with "Naked", but I do recall Thewlis back in 1995 as more than holding his own next to the young Leonardo DiCaprio in "Total Eclipse". I wouldn't write him off as a mediocre hack.

Please wait...
