The Bush Administration didn't want to use "hunger" so they invented "food insecurity". Unfortunately, it's being used by everyone now.

John Oliver also did a good comedy/news bit a couple months ago about food waste. This is a "market" with little or no infrastructure to deliver food to those who need it

So, you're saying when Safeway wants to sell me a full gallon of milk for $5 that expires in like 3 days, I should just go ahead and buy it even if it'll take me a month to drink all that ?
