the GF pizza at Veraci is expensive, but delicious.

I'm not a big beer fan, either, but Ghostfish has a fully gluten-free kitchen, too, and they do beer-battered fish and chips that are incredible. Their menu changes seasonally, but the beer-battered and fried butternut squash was also incredible. Beyond gluten, I'm lactose intolerant and allergic to eggs, but Ghostfish is great for all of that.

I do love beer, and have celiac's disease. Ghostfish has been a godsend. Their standard beers are great (hello grapefruit IPA) and they have experimental ones at the tap room. And I was so excited to have fish and chips again. So get.

Yes - Ghostfish has a 100% gluten-free kitchen and the food is quite tasty! You can also get gluten-free pizza at Pagliacci's and Flying Squirrel Pizza. My favorite place to grab a burger with a gf bun & gf fries is Uneedaburger. They have a separate fryer so no need to worry about cross contamination.

Ditto on Ghostfish. Great place. I've always had very good luck at any Indian, Thai or Chinese place also. Actually, 99.99% of the 'regular' restaurants I've been to in Puget Sound area have GF offerings, or can (and happily offer to...) make most any regular dish GF. Recently went to Chan in the Market. One thing GF, snotty, eye-rolly attitude and ONLY because they won't use Tamari instead of Soy Sauce. lame. Same story at Kizuki Ramen in W Seattle. Hostess actually said "this probably isn't the restaurant for you". She is right.

#4, Yes on Uneeda burger!! And FWIW...Just travelled to Spain and Ireland. SUPER easy to eat GF in both places.

@3:

My wife was just informed that Naked City Taphouse in Greenwood also makes GF beer, so you now have an option in the North End as well.

Also, we're BIG fans of Razzi's (just down the block from Naked City), because they also offer a lactose-free, Daiya cheese option for their pizzas in addition to GF crusts. And I'm not G-I OR L-I, but I would eat the hell out of their GF bread any day of the week!

Bizzarro Italian Cafe in Wallingford house makes GF pasta daily. Sub it in the Forest Floor Frenzy. It's glorious.

Check out Urban Luxe Cafe in the Roosevelt neighborhood on Roosevelt between NE 65th and Ravenna. They're a new Mediterranean cafe that serves meals, sandwiches, coffee, pastries, beer, wine, cider. The owner and chief cook and bottle-washer Mohammad has chosen to go GF and he is constantly working to perfect GF recipes. His pita bread is chewy like nothing I have ever had in my 10+ years of being GF. I'm also DF and there are still tons of options.

It's a great space, friendly for families too with board games to play. Currently they offer NuFlours bread as an option for their sandwiches but Mohammad is working on his own offering since he wants everything to be made from scratch in house. Try their dips with the GF pita that is incredible and the GF Manageesh (think Middle East pizza) is also great.

Please wait...
