Fast-food french fries have been the topic of heated debate for ages. Usually on one side you have the die-hard McDonald's fry lovers and on the other side the Burger King faithful, but there are those in the minority who represent other establishments. For me, nothing tops the golden, cylindrical mexi-fries from TacoTime. TacoTime is similar to another "Taco" establishment, but it's the one you're not embarrassed to admit you eat at. The two restaurants are sort of like cousins, only TacoTime is the cousin who went to an Ivy League college and now lives in a penthouse condo. You may refer to these delectably fried morsels as tater tots elsewhere—but at TacoTime they are mexi-fries, plain and simple. For $6.22 you can have an order of mexi-fries and a hand-rolled deep-fried chicken burrito. Ask for a side of cheese and salsa and you now have a beautiful order of nacho mexi-fries, all for <10.
