Stumbling Goat is AWFUL!! I can't understand why they get good press. I went there because of articles like this and was so disappointed. The food is mediocre and very overpriced for the quality. The service is slow. And, it looks dirty. Ick.

Do they pay you for these reviews?

Maybe you could be more specific than ick? I've been there many times and for the quality of the food and the service as well as the CHEAP happy hour menu I don't think you can find a nicer spot. The building isn't new...maybe you should stick to Belltown; nothings "icky" there. ;)

I agree that Stumbling Goat is overrated and overpriced. And, I live closer to "Phinneywood" than I do to Belltown.

The service was awesome & I was charmed by the restaurant. I tried the faro fries and thought they were great. If I had a bad experience, I would've reflected it in my column. The bars/restaurants don't pay me to write about them-- I pick the bars myself. If there are other bars that you think deserve a Happiest Hour write-up, let me know in the comments.

They had a chef change a few months ago. Maybe that is the reason for the discrepancies in opinion about the restaurant?
