I kind of wish they'd play some Showa hits from Japan rather than from the U.S. Mix it up!

The Showa era officially began in 1926 and went until 1989.

I hope it'll be 80's Japan-style, not American. American 80's culture largely sucked. Hey hip young ones, I remember it, trust me.

I'm picturing the pub/bar where Ralph Machio busted up chunks of ice in Karate Kid 2 !!

Bethany, as far as decor goes you missed a rather large and lovely portrait of Wham, an Andre the Giant t-shirt, as well as a beautifully painted Steven Seagal movie poster-- which sure, isn't a lot in sheer 80s volume but is surely substantial in content.
