The Hama Hama Company is a shellfish farm started in 1922, located where the nearly unbearably scenic Hamma Hamma River meets Hood Canal. The same family still owns the company, and Hama Hama oysterman Adam James is coming to help celebrate Bastille’s new oyster happy hour today. He’ll be shucking delicious Hama Hamas directly into your mouth for just $1 each, as well as telling you everything you ever wanted to know about oysters in his low-key, charming way. Also, $3 Chuckanut Brewery Kolsch and $5 Crémant, all in the marvelously Frenchy surroundings of Bastille. (Bastille, 5307 Ballard Ave NW, 453-5014, 4:30–6 pm)
