I love them.

I love them too.
3
So how DO you eat it?!
4
You eat it like Mayor Ford eats pussy.
5
@3++. Not knowing the deal, that sign just seems obnoxious.

Edsel Ford Fong lives!

I was so sorry to hear last year that his employer, Sam Wo in San Francisco's Chinatown, was closing. What a place. The entrance was through the kitchen, and you had to go a flight or two up a staircase that resembled one on a midcentury Pullman car. The dining area had tables made of Carrara marble slabs on wooden legs painted bright orange to match the chairs. Open 24/7. The food was as lousy as the service, but whenever I was there nobody was sober enough to care.

Some food is just smarter than the people eating it!
8
I don't know how to eat it so, can I ask them? Will they help out an uninformed customer who want's to know?
9
i think i can figure it out - i bet you use utensils.

Andrew Zimmern has made their lives hell.

If you take their signs for it, it might seem like the ladies who work this counter are total bitches. This is not the case; I have always found them to be quite pleasant, not to mention hard working.
13
@12 It's true, they're very nice people. They just don't put up with any shit! And most of them do work 6 or 7 days a week.

Sinigang: if your idea of seafood is Mc d's "fillet o fish", taco delmar fish burrito, ..or you didn't know that salmon had bones in it and skin on it, this ISN'T the dish for you!
15
Those signs seem to say different things, but all I can make out is "DON'T ORDER HERE." Done and done!

@12: Maybe I'm used to eating at awesome small places, but those signs say to me that they actually serve interesting food, have some people who don't know how to appreciate something new (or ask irrelevant questions), and the staff would rather not have to say negative things to people constantly.

People who like to bitch at customers don't give away their scolding opportunities like that. There is certainly a culture gap - I've seen Asian restaurants downrated for clearing plates quickly, even though that is a sign of respect. European-style eateries let you sit there longer - with your dirty dishes - and go by a different tempo.

Next time in Seattle, I'm going to try to go check them out! Brusque usually means they focus on making great food. And I'll probably try the salmon since I grew up eating whole fish with the family.

I don't know if I know how to eat the fucking salmon.
