Like oxygen for we expat Europeans who long for proper bread, cheese and decent wine. Went there last night for a French friend's birthday and the atmos could not have been more authentic.

i'll only try these places if the bill comes to at least $150 for 2.

I went to Brimmer & Heeltap last night to check it out, the food was great! You don't get much for your money though.. They do give you the option of 2 sizes for most things on the menu, which is nice, so I tried 3 dishes, the lardo (Literally, it's pig rind with pickled quince, and was YUM!!), the walnut/seaweed rolls $2 each, and the rabbit dish for $14. ~Why do bunnies taste to nice?
A nice night out, they were welcoming even though they were packed and I was by myself, and though it was loud and full, the service was great, and the wine was good too. I had an $8 Rioja.
Total, 3 (small but surprisingly filling) dishes and a glass of wine, $30.

Please wait...
