Why is the steak place named Boat?

I'm super excited! But AAARGH the service charge. I wonder - will to go orders get this charge? Because I imagine that a doughnut shop will get lots of orders to take home (at least, that's what I plan to do). I think this city has gone way overboard on the level of tips expected for to go orders anyway (where's the service in that?), but tips are optional. Service charges aren't.

I love donuts so much, I will never tire of them. Very exciting!
5
ahh, the entrepreneurial spirit, alive, well & unfazed by the government forcing them to pay a pittance better.
6
Thank you for including the tipping policy for these establishments, even if only 53% of that service charge goes to your server.

@2:

Why is any strangely-named establishment (e.g. The Whale Wins, 9 Million In Unmarked Bills, Skelly & The Bean, etc., etc.) named what it is? I presume either because it's trying to separate itself from the multitude of similar-in-style-tone-&-cuisine establishments against which it's competing, or else it's owned by a pretentious, band wagon-jumping "entrepreneur" who thinks a weird name lends it some sort of undeserved cache.

@7 sadly, she only pays in buckets of Lays potato chips.

Any word on where the doughnut place will be located?

Please wait...
