My dear friend Tona posted this article of FB. Now I am very hungry.

While it makes me happy to see a Hawaiian food/saiman piece, I can't figure out what you were thinking with that parenthetical Spam comment. The nonexistent link you make between Spam and long pig is unnecessary, un-funny, and offensive.

The group "Pacific Islanders" includes many people and cultures, the majority of whose oh-so-exotic "ancestral predilections" were for things like taro and fish, not human flesh (including native Hawaiians).

What about Northshore Hawaiian BBQ?

Oh, awesome, I've been searching for good saimin for years, I'll definitely give these places a try.

Saimin's alright. But ramen's the king. I can't wait to go to the source in July for my fill.

You guys don't know what you're talking about. The only reason I eat spam is because eating humans is illegal now. Plus people meat doesn't come in a handy, pop top can, it's a lot of work.

mamasutra, you should try soylent green.
