I miss all the old restaurants like Kaleenka's and the Twin Teepees and the Continental Greek Cafe -- but then again, people always tell me that I am living in the past.

@1: The Twin Teepees! Sigh.

@1 and @2: Stop living in the past!

"If someone from the outside had come into Georgetown and made Brass Tacks, they'd have been excoriated for appropriating the neighborhood's unaffectedly mismatched, reclaimed, weirdo style"

Uh... you might want to research that a little bit. And did you see their hugely obnoxious used car lot reader board advertising drink specials and furniture during Sub Pop 25? How outside can you get?

DOGHOUSE! trippig at the doghouse at 4am with circus clowns in costume!

I guess you can't trademark a regional cuisine, but do the menus at La Cocina Oaxaqueña and La Carta Oaxaca's seem maybe too suspiciously similar? If it wasn't so welcome to have something decent at that long-cursed corner location, I'd try to get myself worked up about an unjust conspiracy.

@1, do you miss concerts at the Memorial Stadium? I'm sure those places were better than Walrus & Carpenter and Tanaka-san.

I love Brass Tacks, best restaurant in Georgwtown!

Please wait...
