I'll be getting hammered at home, thanks, where I can get a bottle of crappy booze for the price of a single drink at most of these places.

Biggest score recently: Wiser's Canadian on clearance at QFC, $7.49 a bottle. Not too shabby. Sorry, I cleared 'em out.

I had some friends that went to the Baranoff about 10 years ago. They didn't make it through the dinner because someone in the place shit their pants during the meal.

That hardly ever happens there, Wisepunk. Your friends must have been unlucky. Seriously, no more than a one in five chance, I'd say.

@3 Oh,Crap!
I remember, many years ago drinking Wiser's Canadian straight out of the bottle with an old girlfriend near the pool at Greenlake. It was summer, warm and I recall waking up in the parking lot gutter, my mouth cotton-like with mounds of bug bites where my shirt was open. My girlfriend had disappeared and the bottle next to me was empty. I later found her near the piss pool looking as rotten as I felt. We then stumbled over to Beth's where the cook took pity on us and set us up with a half-a-house. Be careful. Wiser's can be damn dangerous!

The venerable Blue Moon Tavern on 45th in the U District. And don't know if it's an every year thing, but last year they had a free hot turkey and ham dinner. A very cool thing to do for their regulars who may hot have families to hang with.

Please wait...
