Another great story of empowerment - I wish her nothing but the best. One aside, moving here in the summer (especially if timed right after UW wraps spring quarter) can be beneficial as potentially thousands of students are moving out of the area (some just till the fall, others for good).

Best of luck Jamie!

I most in awe of this person. She is so focused, so determined, I wish nothing but the best for her. I just am so sorry she has to lose so much to just be who she is.

Really. Why can't conservative Christians actually follow the Golden Rule? Or, follow the actual words of Jesus Christ - "Let he who is without sin throw the first stone." Bah!

This right here is real honest to Gods actual investigative substantive journalism.

Stranger: read this, read it again, read it again....and invest in people who can do this.

Welcome, Jamie -- we are happy to have you here!

And thank you for this amazing series, Vivian.

Hi Jamie--you are doing the right thing by moving here! My nephew here is trans, and as far as I know, no one thinks twice about it! Seattle is so supportive of this--my nephew even got his surgery covered by insurance! This is a wonderful place to live (if you don't mind a fair amount of rain and traffic). If/when you move here, please look me up!
