The city has now been forced to re-think this policy in light of the crippling effect it had on the restaurants in the city.
But ... go ahead, raise wages higher and higher...... with a recession on the horizon, this will make for a great outcome... rush on fools... hell is only half way full.
We were told a decade ago that raising the minimum wage to $15 would not raise prices, would make tipping obsolete, and would turn the minimum wage into a living-wage. How’d that work out???
What really gets me is the reason it was $15 was because they were trying to drop it to $12 in bargaining and I pushed for $15 then $16 then $18 then $20 then $22.
