Im noticing a "touchy-feely" emotional aspect to these contributions of late and its obviousness to the reasoning almost borders on genius - almost. The perfect blend feminine problems combined with patriotic veterans with PTSD and substance abuse issues. The only thing I need is "a perfect rose" and a banner that says "Hillary 2016". Too many people, like myself don't believe in coincidence. You kids at The Stranger crack me up! I recommend getting back to "getting real" before the paper ends up unread at the bottom of bird cages.

@Seatlebcc Lol, as soon as I saw "touchy-feely", I knew you were a Trump supporter. Why are you people so filled with hate that you're incapable of seeing a positive story and accepting it for what it is?

But I take it that you have absolutely no problem whatsoever in retrieving The Stranger from the bottom of your parrot cage so you can scrape off the bird poop and read these feel good stories so you can publicly diss them. I almost feel sorry for you. Almost.

Great story. Meaningful coincidences have happened to me many times in my life as well. In my opinion, that's not coincidence, it's Providence,a property of the universe I've noticed in my life in which things happen that turn out to be exactly what we need, exactly when we need them.

You did very well and all it cost you was a few dings and scratches and a temporarily uncomfortable meeting with the person who banged into you. I'd say that's well worth saving a life and a marriage any day of the week.

I liked the little story and sad that Trump supporters read the Stranger so much and have absorbed its paranoia.

I don't agree with @1's overall attitude, but it does seem like there's a new editor to I, Anonymous. They've been more positive, and less fake-sounding.

Cause nothing good can result from cash?

Americans have all these heartwarming tales that could never happen in a normal rich country where everybody is just given the health care they need. None of that Bill Gates writing a check for somebody's chemo or crowdfunding dad's transplant or the dying kid who sends out 100,000 post cards to cover the stupendous cost of his death.

Obviously conservatives don't want to live in a place where these stories can't happen. They don't think every single person should have health care unless they've somehow earned it, or let is be used as a vehicle for somebody else's tale of generosity.

What's really sick is that these conservatives don't even want to live in a country where these stories can't happen to veterans.

If the dude was a veteran with service related PTSD, why did they need a co-pay to get into a program? His VA benefits would cover treatment. I smell a fake. A heart warming fake, but fake none the less.

Please wait...
